The 90 kilometre tourist road was upgraded by the Department of State Growth and its principal contractor Hazell Bros and officially opened in June 2015. Roadways was engaged by Hazell Bros to undertake the bituminous surfacing on the newly prepared roads. The works were conducted over two sealing seasons due to the climatic conditions experienced on Tasmania’s rugged west coast.
